The Publishing department is specialised in creating content-based media products from concept to final deliverables for both internal and external clients. From creating the bi-annual campus magazine, HUB Magazine, to producing a 6-minute daily journal for the Fingerspitz Online Marketing team, our students can meet your offline and online publishing needs.   

The publishing department is divided into three teams; content, design and marketing, with each team utilising their specialised skillsets and collaborating to create content-based media products that leave readers entertained and informed.   

The content team brainstorms content themes and (interactive) article ideas, conducts interviews and create all the written articles and content that entertains and educates the desired target audiences. When it comes to creating the content for the HUB Magazines (previously BLEND), in most cases students have free choice, the only limitation present is that it is representable for the image of BUas. When creating special edition HUB Magazines, students normally work within a content theme of an internal client.  
The design team works alongside content team to ensure that the message and feeling of the content is reflected in the pages of the product, through graphic design and photography. They are eager to create the most unique and modern layouts to attract the audience. 

Finally, the marketing team ensures that each edition of the HUB magazine is promoted by hosting creative and unique offline and online campaigns to attract readers. Additionally, the marketing representatives from publishing form part of a larger inter-HUB marketing team, with representatives from the both the TV and Radio departments.
